Highly transparent 2K epoxy resin for casting heights and coatings from 3 - 10mm; Very good UV stability. Very good self-venting properties. The epoxy resin is colorless and odorless. Excellent surface quality.
For artistic and decorative applications, e.g. smaller embeddings, castings, jewelry, model making and especially coatings.
The epoxy resin Liquid Glass 100 (A) must be mixed with the hardener Liquid Glass 10 (B) in a weight ratio of 100: 45.
The processing temperature should be at least a room and material temperature between 20-25ºC. The air humidity must not be higher than 60%.
For the successful processing of the epoxy resin, the humidity and the room temperature are the most important parameters.
Hardening / hardness
At a room temperature of 23ºC and a layer thickness of 3mm, the material is tack-free after approx. 16 hours. With a 10mm cast and the same room temperature, the material can be demolded after approx. 24 hours.
The system was developed to cure completely in a temperature range between 15-28ºC (ideal is a range between 20 and 25ºC), and after 7 days it reaches its full mechanical load capacity with a Shore D1 hardness of D82.
Another possibility is the addition of heat, here the system reaches 80 under constant heatºC after 16 hours full mechanical strength with a Shore D1 hardness of D83.
The epoxy resin can be stored in a sealed container and under favorable storage conditions for a period of up to 12 months without this leading to a reduction in utility value. The product should be stored between 15-25ºC and not exposed to direct sunlight.
